About the product

40-444 is a filler with high filling power and very easy to sand, can be used as compact or high-build sanding filler. It can also be used to fill partial areas (spot repair) without post-sagging and edge markings. Can also be used wet-on-wet with the addition of 20-30% thinner. Cana be used directly on steel, zinc, and aluminium.

Film Thickness

90-270 µm, W/W 20-30 µm

Viscosity

22-35s, 4mm DIN, W/W 12-16s

Specifies the consistency of the product, influencing flow and application quality. Measure taken with a 4mm DIN cup.

Spray Gun Settings

1.6-1.8mm nozzle, 2 bar

Indicates the recommended nozzle size and pressure settings for achieving smooth, even application.

Drying and Sanding

Initial Drying Time (Dust dry)

Indicates the time required for the product to reach a dust-dry stage at room temperature.

Sanding Time (20 °C)

Sandable after 1.6h

Suitable for sanding after the product has dried at room temperature, allowing flexibility for slower curing.

Sanding can commence sooner with moderate heat, reducing the overall curing time.
